(also known as TeleMedicine)

Miller Eye Center is now offering TeleHealth services for our patients. Our priority is the health and safety of our patients and staff. Therefore, through telehealth we can minimize the risk for everyone, all while making it as convenient as possible for our patients.

The Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is allowing medical professionals to expedite TeleHealth services to better care for our patients via their phone. Our management team and staff believe in maintaining continuity of care and keeping our team readily available to all our patients as best we can. This will ensure you are not charged for routine calls or needs and only for over-the-phone doctor consultations. This allows patients who have recently traveled during the past month, patients who are sick, or patients who have recently been exposed to someone who is sick or has traveled during the past month, to still be seen medically without leaving their home. This will help to maintain social distancing.

The check-in process will be very straight forward with the doctor. We will need your name, date of birth, phone number and address to start. We will have our staff enter the information when the call is complete. We will submit the proper documentation to the insurance at that time. If there is a follow up office visit required we will have our staff contact you to get that appointment scheduled.

Please contact us at 815.226.1500 and ask to speak with our on-call doctor via TeleHealth for any URGENT ISSUES. For all other issues please talk to our receptionists during our business hours and we can schedule you as needed. Our clinic will remain open and be accessible with limited hours from 8am to 12pm. We will continue to give our patients the best care at the lowest risk possible, for everyone.
